Who is responsible for your personal development / Growth) ?

 


In the following 8 areas of growth - Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Mental, Social, intellectual, financial, & career / Ministry, you need balance. 


Draw a circle , divide it in those 8 areas . How is your personal growth in each of the areas ?  

In a scale of 1-10 ; 10 being the highest , how are you doing ? 

In all these areas according to Psalm 37:3-5 

Note verse 5: ( Main focus).

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.“

1: Commit your ways ( plans) to the Lord .

2: Trust in Him 

3: He will make them to pass . 

It is personal initiative to grow , we have the power within us to help us unlock our potential ( Ephesians 3:20).

Who develops the plans for you?  

Plans come from Ideas that you generate through prayer or ideas you get during your quiet momentof reflections.

These ideas are written down & be committed to God through prayer. 

Great things by great people that were ever done were started ( birthed) from the inside.

“ If an egg is broken by an outside force , life ends but if an egg is broken by an inside force life begins “

What ideas / plans do you have ? 

Who with think for you ? Your spouse , Employer, pastor , mentor or parents? 

It’s your responsibility & starts within you .

“ 5% of the people think , 15% think they are thinking, 80% would rather die than think “ Bishop David Oyendepo .

In which category are you in ? 

NB:

i) • Prayer + Thinking ( ideas/ Strategies) + plans + Actions ( implementation) = Success to your vision.

Is your vision written down? Written down things can we followed .

“Write your vision in BIG letters … “ ( Habbakuk 2:2). 

ii) • Prayer - ( minus) Thinking ( ideas/ Strategies) - ( minus) plans - ( Minus) Actions ( implementation) = Dream ( Remains in your mind or within you).

What stops your journey of personal development? 

A principal in leadership in this areas is called Continuous growth . To grow/ develop you need to ;

i) Desire to grow 
ii) Plan to grow ( Think growth) 
iii) pay the price to grow.

If God Blesses Your Children And Gives You a Condition ...

God is interested in us setting our priorities  as follows: 1:  Fellowship with Him as # 1. Priority .  2: Time with your Family as # 2 priority. 3: Time in Ministry or What you do for living ( Work / career ) as # 3 priority . 4: Pleasure / Leisure / Retreat/ rest as # 4 priority .  In our time of fellowship with God, He’s looking for our communion with him and as result He meets our needs.  He does not expect us to go to Him with a “ shopping list” . I need this and this and this but he needs our fellowship with him. And example of Mary & Martha ( Luke 10:38-42).  “ Martha Martha one thing is needful…”  ( V 42)replace Martha’s name with your name .😀 Use songs of worship, turn scriptures in praises  & prayer, reflect on His  attributes , who He is , and His promises to you. What Would The Master Say?

  Main text : Mathew 25: 14-30 ( read for personal reflection).  Our master is interested with us investing what he has entrusted to us. We need to occupy till he comes by being productive.  Laziness brings poverty and  its discouraged in the Scripture.   “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.” ( Proverbs 20:13) The master said, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!" Matthew 25:23; Mark 4:20 NLT.
