 Astrid  & I have been serving as missionaries, we still do with LIFE Ministry  Kenya for the last 34 years  . 


In our 34 year’s  journey as staff of LIFE Ministry Kenya , we trusted / trusts God for partners who joined / Joins our ministry to help us serve God.

The verse below gives us the perspective that despite preparations that we do before reaching out to friends for financial support;  victory / provision comes from the Lord.



“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD”. (Proverbs 21:31 )


Preparing the horse  ( any assignment) requires prayer , Strategic thinking ( vision) ,  planning , Discipline, Effort , Time , working hard & Smart . 


In the last week devotion drawn from the parable of the talents , we saw  that God rewards  faithfulness in the God given assignment. 


Don’t sit and wait until the battle time , prepare the horse for battle. 


Students/ business people/ Ministers/ professionals cannot wait on God ( sleeping & praying) without preparing for the battle &  yet expect better results.


Personal preparation:


Q:1. How are you preparing your horse for battle?


Q:2. Do you have few years to hit 60? Or are you approaching 7th floor like us?  


Are you in your early 30’s , 40’s or 50’s ? How are you getting ready for the assignment a head of you?


Remember;


“ The one who called you is faithful &  he will do it” (I Thessalonians 5:24.)


However:  Prepare the horse  for the battle .

If God Blesses Your Children And Gives You a Condition ...

God is interested in us setting our priorities  as follows: 1:  Fellowship with Him as # 1. Priority .  2: Time with your Family as # 2 priority. 3: Time in Ministry or What you do for living ( Work / career ) as # 3 priority . 4: Pleasure / Leisure / Retreat/ rest as # 4 priority .  In our time of fellowship with God, He’s looking for our communion with him and as result He meets our needs.  He does not expect us to go to Him with a “ shopping list” . I need this and this and this but he needs our fellowship with him. And example of Mary & Martha ( Luke 10:38-42).  “ Martha Martha one thing is needful…”  ( V 42)replace Martha’s name with your name .😀 Use songs of worship, turn scriptures in praises  & prayer, reflect on His  attributes , who He is , and His promises to you. What Would The Master Say?

  Main text : Mathew 25: 14-30 ( read for personal reflection).  Our master is interested with us investing what he has entrusted to us. We need to occupy till he comes by being productive.  Laziness brings poverty and  its discouraged in the Scripture.   “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.” ( Proverbs 20:13) The master said, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!" Matthew 25:23; Mark 4:20 NLT.
